About the store

Italian brand of women's tango shoes, handmade in Florence (Tuscany); the SUR company was officially founded in 2000 by tango dancer Beatrice Raveggi. On the brand's story page she explains that she started dancing tango in Florence in 1995 and, since her mother had a shoe company, began making her own tango shoes by hand. Each model carries a woman's name (e.g. Dita, Grace, Magalina, Malaguena, Paloma, Alba).

• All products are handmade in Florence, with Italian materials: leathers from the Tuscan tanning district and fabrics from Italian suppliers.
• The brand's signature insole uses an anti-shock material; soles are made of pumiced (buffalo) leather, meant to stay flexible.
• Sandals in several heel heights (about 7 to 10 cm in the shop) and fits, including wide-fit models (marked “BO”).
• The shop has New Arrivals, Limited Editions, Outlet and gift card sections. A men's (UOMO) category exists on the site, but it listed no products at the time of research.
• The website is in Italian and English.

Sizes

The small sizes are included, 35, 36. Large sizes: up to 42.

• The store's size guide gives foot length and width in cm for each last and heel: sizes start at 33 or 34 and go up to 41, or up to 42 for the regular-fit 8 cm heel.
• Product pages list size options from 33 to 43, but at the time of research sizes 42 and 43 were shown as unavailable on almost all models.

• Orders are shipped within 48–72 hours; typical delivery takes 4–7 business days; all orders are shipped with a tracking number.
• Example express courier quotes for one pair at checkout at the time of research: Italy €20, Germany €35, USA €45, Japan €50, UK €70, Australia €75.
• The checkout lists destinations across Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.
• Taxes and duties are not included in the final price (cart note).
• Returns: request within 14 days of receipt by emailing the store first; return costs are the customer's unless a different item was sent. For countries with customs (e.g. USA, Switzerland, UK) the return customs costs are deducted from the refund. Sale items and gift cards cannot be returned.
